Decimals

Today we did Maths and we learn't decimals. Here was the question I got all the answers right because I'm smart. The easy part was solving it. The hard part was getting the equation correct. It was fun.
1. 52 x 3 = 4.56
25.75 x 5= 128.75

Roman numerals

This is what we did for Maths. Roman numerals. The easy part was everything, the hard part was not able to answer the questions because I already know what Roman numerals are. 

Can anyone guess what this means?  XXII-VI- MMXI

 

Highest and lowest

I am learning to put operations signs, + or - or x or ÷ between the numbers 3, 4, 5, 6, to make the highest possible number and lowest possible number. The hard part is finding the right answer because everyone is confusing me with their answer. The easy part was finding the right answer for myself and writing lots of equations. I can use BEDMAS as a skill or tool to help me.

Maths

For Math I am Learning to Problem solve. I can think systematically as well as working collaboratively with my group members and we use talk moves. I need to work on being more helpful to my group. My next step is to write Math expressions.  

Make 37

For Maths this week we have been making 37 with the numbers 1, 3, 5 and 7, 10 times. I tried 36 times to make 37, I have to say IT IS IMPOSSIBLE. Here is the problem. It's pretty hard, try it yourself. The easy part was finding ways to make 37. The hard part was finding the right way to make 37. 

Four bags contain a large number of 1's, 3's, 5's and 7's. Pick any ten numbers from the bag so that their total is 37.  

Daily maths do's

For maths this week I have been doing Daily maths. The easy part was doing my number of the day and e-ako. The hard part way prototect because I moved up to stage 8. The hardest was Place value.
My Math goals are learning my HCF and LCM. Highest common factors and Lowest common multiple.

Interges

This week for Maths/Pangarau my class mates and I have been learning about integers. We learn hills and dales or holes. Integers are negative numbers. We learn't that you fill the dales or holes with the hills. If you know how to do integers here are some questions. Have a go.

TE WA

Te Wa. Today for Pangarau some of my class mates and I have been learning to tell 24 hour time. The easy part was solving the majority of the questions. The hard part was knowing the once the time has past 24 hours the clock restarts. 

I know I can tell digital time when

• AM always starts with a 0
• PM always starts with a 1 or 2
• Once the time has past 24 hours it restarts

I have a question. Can anyone tell me the time in 24 hour time am or pm doesn't matter?

Conversions

For Maths this week we did conversions here is a photo of my work and I'm telling you I nailed it, it was easy. Nothing hard just easy. 

Communicating

This week For Maths we did problem solving and communicating with our buddies or group. The easy part solving the equation. The hard part was drawing pictures to understand the equation. The fun part was talking with Bobbie-Jo and asking questions to understand. 

I know when I'm successful at problem solving when I can

• Solve the equation

PROBLEM SOLVING

This week we got asked a question for Maths. The question was Noah saw 112 legs walk by the ark. How many creatures could he have found? How many different answers can you find?

If you have good eyes you can just see my answers in the photo if not my answer was. 6 chicken, 7 pig, 4 giraffes, 100 snails, 5 goats, 2 rabbits and 4 dogs and all of the animals calculated together makes 112. Sorry for the ugly animals.

PROBLEM SOLVING

For the past 1 to 2 weeks my class mates and I learnt how to use the problem solving checklist. The easy part was using the Problem solving checklist. The hard part was nothing. The fun part was working together, sharing my answers and showing how I work it out with my class mates.

We have been doing prime number. These are the composite and prime numbers between 50-60. If any are wrong tell me down below in the comment session.

My treasure map

               Welcome to Candy & Sandy Island
               
    For maths in my class we have been doing Treasure maps and it was very hard too find the treasure but at the same time it was fun. I hope you find my treasure not too easy or hard. Leave a comment below to tell me were the treasure is buried. GOOD LUCK.                          
Instruction   

1. Start at Blue lake.
2. You start on the South side of Blue lake, then take East to North  side of Blue lake.
3. Use one thing in the back pack and give it to skaters, then pass through  skaters in the Skate park.
4. Then walk East side to Extreme forest then pay the Man in the purple shop his money from your backpack, garb floty on West side Extreme forest, float down Blue stream.
5. Follow through Blue stream behind falls hill and then you will land in the pond.
6. Walk North side and give the grumpy old troll what he loves, then walk over his bridge.
7. Walk on the south side then west side and give Swaiper his tools or either walk South side, then East side and buy you a water or food from the Canteen shop, then walk West side to Swipers hill  and give him the tools that he needs in your bag.
8. Then  walk through Rocky road to the Lighting point watch out for the lighting, use the mirror to shine at the lighting to hit back then walk East side  to Rocky road and the treasure is buried on the East side of  Rocky road.
